Dr. Fasanya’s early life began in the historic town of Ijebu-Ode, where he was born into a devoted Christian home of Mr. and Mrs. Marcus Oluwole Fasanya of blessed memory. From a young age, he exhibited discipline, humility, and a deep-rooted faith that would guide him throughout his life. His educational journey reflected a pursuit of excellence. He began at Maryland Convent School, Ikeja, and continued at Adeola Odutola Elementary School, Ijebu-Ode, before advancing to the prestigious Government College Ibadan (GCI). As a pioneer student of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, he demonstrated intellectual curiosity and determination that would define his career.
After completing his National Youth Service at Ilesanmi Press in Ilesha, Dr. Fasanya answered the call to national service by enrolling at the Police Academy, Kaduna, where he became a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police. His early career in law enforcement, beginning in Abeokuta, Ogun State, was marked by discipline and dedication. However, his thirst for knowledge led him further. He pursued a law degree at Lagos State University, Ojo, and proceeded to the Nigerian Law School, where he was called to the Bar as a Solicitor and Barrister of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. His academic journey did not end there, he went on to earn both a Master’s degree and a Doctorate (Ph.D) in Law from Babcock University, Ilisan-Remo.
Dr. Fasanya was not only a scholar but also a builder. He founded Legal Trend Chambers, a law firm dedicated to justice and advocacy, as well as KTT Security, a security outfit that contributed to safety and protection within society. His professional life reflected a rare blend of intellect, leadership, and service. Beyond his professional accomplishments, he was a devoted family man. He shared a loving and enduring union with his wife, Mrs. Olubunmi-Tolulope Fasanya, and together they raised their children, Oreoluwa and Olaoluwa Fasanya, in a home grounded in faith, love, and strong values. To his family, he was a pillar of strength, wisdom, and unwavering support.
Faith was the foundation of Dr. Fasanya’s life. Raised in Christian doctrine, he lived a life of service to God and humanity. His commitment to kingdom work, particularly in giving and supporting the growth of the church, was profound. He embodied humility, compassion, and a steadfast belief in God’s purpose. His final days came unexpectedly. What began as a routine hospital visit turned into a critical moment, yet through it all, hope and prayers remained strong. On March 15, 2025, he answered the ultimate call, transitioning peacefully to eternal glory.
